Since becoming a yoga teacher 7 years ago, I have regularly incorporated essential oils into my practice - for focus during meditation or for a quick spritz during savasana. When my best friend, who found they aided in healing her colitis, introduced me to Young Living Essential Oils, I was hooked! I was excited to learn that unlike other brands, Young Living doesn't use carrier oils and perfumes.

The uses for essential oils are truly endless. If you'd like to learn more about the amazing benefits of these fantastic, life-changing Essential Oils click here to contact me.

I love this Aria Diffuser from Young Living (pictured here). We have one in almost every room in the house. It's super cool at night - with the LED lights on it looks like a witch's caldron! Everyone in my family experiences various forms of ADD and ADHD. To help us focus, we've started concocting our own blends. And THEY WORK! Crazy, I know. But they do! Now, I use my diffuser when I'm working and my daughter uses hers while studying. My husband even has one on his desk at his law office. And it's so fun to experiment with creating amazingly uplifting, deodorizing scents.

Beyond diffusing, there are so many ways to incorporate Essential Oils, or EOs, into your home. I love incorporating oils, like Lemon and Lime, in my cooking, to make things like Vinaigrette or Guacamole. And I no longer use toxic chemicals to clean my house. Now, I use my Thieves Home Cleaning Kit to mix different EOs with water in a spray bottle and clean and there is no strong chemical smell! I even add Lavender EOs (which has a fresh, sweet, floral herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing) to wool dryer balls use them in my laundry instead of toxic dryer sheets.

Some of my other favorite oils:

Helichrysum: Helichrysum contains restorative properties while providing

excellent support to the skin.

Citronella: Citronella essential oil is ideal for diffusing indoors to refresh the air.

Jade Lemon: A unique lemon-lime scent that is both pleasing and uplifting. This oil supports skin health and is useful to clean, detox, and purify.

Lemongrass: Lemongrass has a light, fresh, citrus aroma with earthy undertones. Refreshing, rejuvenating, stimulating and balancing when applied topically.

Joy: A sweet-smelling blend of harmonizing essential oils, Joy's aroma invites a sense of romance, bliss, and warmth.

Aromaease: A cool, minty aroma and contains powerful constituents of Ginger, Cardamom, Peppermint, Fennel, and Spearmint essential oils that provide calming sensation when used aromatically.
